Chopping Boards

Welcome to my section of live edge chopping boards.

Every single Bough and Burr Furniture chopping board is made by me, by hand, in my Belfast workshop. As with my furniture pieces each chopping board is made from native timber species sourced here in Ireland. So if you are looking for a sustainable, handmade gift then look no further.

I usually have Oak, Ash, Elm and Beech in stock but you may also see a few other types of wood. The unique colour and grain pattern in each slab of timber gives each board their own character - be it the contrast between to dark centre(heartwood) and light edges (sapwood) on the Elm or the swirling grain of the Ash.

I keep a range of stock sizes, small; medium and large boards but the actual dimensions do vary board to board. The width is stated is an average along the live edge meaning some parts will be wider and other narrower.
