Wall Hangings

Characterful and unique wooden wall hangings.

At Bough and Burr Furniture I have a lot of wood. Odd lengths left over from bespoke furniture commissions which get stacked on sagging shelves until inspiration strikes - and that is exactly how these pieces came about. 

Each piece is a one of a kind art work. As with my furniture the focus of theses works is to create a simple elegance, highlighting the natural imperfections in the wood. This is achieved through the use of timbers with big knots or big burrs, naturally occurring features that form as a tree grows.

This new addition to the Bough and Burr collection will continue to grow. The current offering include a the Wave, a mesmerising Scottish Burr Elm hand-framed in Irish Oak and Shadow; scorched knotty Irish Olive Ash.
