Autumn and Winter Markets 2024

There an old woodworking adage, you can never have enough clamps, this is very true. Another I'd like to add as a self-employed furniture maker is, you can never plan early enough from Christmas. Sorry for dropping a C-bomb in September but in truth I've been working away on my Christmas market plans since July!

Applications have been made to apply at craft fairs all over Ireland at I'm going to be selling my work at some amazing places this year! It's always lovely to meet customers, let them see my products in real life and to try and instil in them some of my passion for woodworking, traditional joinery and our native wood species. 

I will have a range of smaller handmade furniture items - an Irish Beech Coffee Table; a Scottish Yew Bench and Irish Ash Side Tables. I am also excited to be showcasing my new range of wall art as well as host of wooden homewares from chopping boards to charcuterie boards and coasters.

Each piece is handmade from carefully selected, sustainably sourced, native British and Irish timber. As ever, if you buy a piece of furniture you take home a certificate telling you about the native tree that was planted for that piece. But don't worry if you can't make any of the events just head to my webshop.

I am very excited to be able to share my confirmed market dates below. There are a few more in the pipeline so I'll be keeping this post updated as any new markets come up

• 21st September -  Townsend Street Block Party/Market will run from 2-8pm, Townsend Street, Belfast. The team at Little Fox Events are curating a one off event in conjunction with the Ulster Orchestra a Belfast City Council. For more info click here

• 8-10th November - Glucksman Gallery, Cork. I am honoured to be attending the Glucksman Craft and Design Fair 2024. The Glucksman’s Craft + Design Fair is a magical moment in the gallery calendar and a wonderful occasion to view original work by Ireland’s best designers under one roof.
