A one off piece of handmade furniture from Bough & Burr. This bench combines beautiful Scottish and Irish timbers, traditional joinery and live edge timber.
Inspired by the gentle, sweeping curve of the live edge yew which revels one corner of the joinery, giving a view of one of the four hand cut bridle joints which make up each end of the oak frame. The Yew table top is rich in character, being a slow growing, knurly timber that twists and turns. The vibrant colour of the timber will deepen to a richer orange/brown over time.
The frame is made of Oak from Co. Wicklow, which was milled in Downpatrick, Co. Down and the Yew from the Scottish Borders.
